Half Bath Source List

Friday, April 12, 2013

I would have to turn the blog over to my husband for all of the technical details of how we did what we did, but here's the breakdown of the items we used for our half bath renovation.

WALLS & PAINT | we wanted to add plank walls to the back wall to give some texture and interest to the toom. Due to the small space, we decided to keep the paint white to make it feel larger.

VANITY | we originally wanted to find a vintage table at the barn sales; however, we had a very narrow space to work with. We only had 19" and most standard vanities are 21", so even the ones you find online at Home Depot & Lowe's left us with very slim options to choose from. After having no luck finding something premade, we decided to stick with what we know and make our own. We opted for an open vanity (table vs one with cabinets) because the room is so tiny. Leaving things more open made it feel not quite as small.

SINK | since we wanted a table for the vanity, we wanted to use a vessel sink that would sit on top of the table. We bought the American Standard Studio Vessel Sink in White from Home Depot.

FAUCET | my husband and I both have always liked the vessel-style faucet ever since we visited my college roommate's family. They had a similar faucet in their guest bathroom and we always knew we wanted to have one in our own home one day. This bathroom seemed like the perfect place. We purchased the Pfister Ashfield Polished Chrome 1-Handle Single Hole WaterSense from Lowe's.

BASKETS | we wanted the industrial look of metal baskets and fortunately, we found the perfect ones at Homegoods

SOAP DISPENSER | this was actually the first purchase for the bathroom. We bought it at Luckett's Store.

TOPIARY | Homegoods

HAND TOWEL | Homegoods (noticing a trend?)

LIGHT FIXTURE | we tried a few options for the light and ended up deciding to go with the
Progress Lighting P5722-81 1-Light Wall Lantern in Antique Nickel from Amazon.

MIRROR | We originally purchased a mirror with a wooden frame for the bathroom from Homegoods; however, once we started installing the vanity we realized it wasn't quite the look we were going for. We opted to go with the Grundtal Mirror from Ikea.

I think that's everything, but if you have any questions about the bathroom renovation feel free to leave a comment.
