Paper Stores in the Windy City

Sunday, February 5, 2012

A few weeks ago, I visited Chicago for the first time. Of course, January isn't probably the best time to see the windy city, but it did give us a reason to pull out all our sweaters and boots that we haven't needed this winter in Virginia! I researched the city for fun cafes and paper stores. Paper Source actually originated in Chicago, so it was a fun surprise when we accidentally stumbled upon the original store along the way (see top four photos)! Greer Chicago was a lovely store with a wide variety of paper and fun accessories. In the back of the store you could actually see their studio at work! The bottom left picture is of their window display which creatively used pencils to create the "stars". We also visited Pulp & Ink. Each store was a little different, but for me its always fun to see the personality behind each of them. Although the products overlap, each store has its own feel. Chicago actually had many other paper stores that we unfortunately didn't have time to see. I really wanted to visit Orange Beautiful's store, but they were closed for inventory. What about you? Have you visited any paper stores lately?
